- Art Explosion: June 7 and 9 - Enjoy art explorations that go beyond crayons and paper! Children will use a variety of art materials to create their masterpieces. From paint to paper collage, to mixed media, the children will work individually and collaboratively to create pieces of process art over the course of this session.
- Kitchen Science: June 14 and 16 - Who says you can’t play with your food?! Children will explore and experiment with basic kitchen items and see how science and food work together to create delicious results.
- Backyard Plants and Bugs: June 21 and 23- Creep and crawl around our outdoor environments to see what you can find. Plant a seed to take home and watch grow.
- Sensational Sensory Play: June 28 and 30- -Come get your hands (and feet) messy with us as we explore a variety of sensory play!
- Winter in July: July 6 and 7- You won’t have to bundle up for these chilly explorations! Children will have the opportunity to explore all things cold; painting with ice cubes, making snow, and so much more!
- Full STEAM Ahead: July 12 and 14 -A week of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math)! What happens when you roll a ball down a ramp? What do red and blue make when you mix them? Can you build the tallest tower? How many birds can you see in the backyard? Find out these answers and more during this session.
- Animal Environments: July 19 and 21- Children will explore the outdoor environment of our school and see if they can see where the local wildlife might live. Inside they will use a variety of materials to explore animal environments and create their own.
- Move Your Body: July 26 and 28- We will focus on moving our bodies through dance and yoga, learning new songs, and trying out musical instruments.
